Our standards

  1. Grams, not adjectives. A fiber is described by its type and the grams in one serving, drawn on one shared scale.
  2. The label is the record. Product numbers are copied from the printed label, never from an ad or a product page headline.
  3. Lab is not life. We say whether a finding came from a lab model or from people, and how many people.
  4. Readers set the questions. Short lines from public posts show what people ask. Usernames are never shown, and the lines are never framed as reviews.
  5. Our own products, plainly marked. When a Physician's Choice product appears, the page names it, links it and treats it as one option among several.

Sourcing

Three kinds of source are allowed on this site, and each answer lists its own at the end.

  • Federal health agenciesNIDDK, NIH and the FDA, for daily fiber ranges, how gas forms and how fiber is counted on a label.
  • Peer-reviewed studiesNamed by first author and year, with the study type and size stated next to the finding.
  • Printed labelsPhysician's Choice Supplement Facts panels, for grams, servings and ingredients.

Each answer carries the date it went up. Label numbers are checked again on a set cycle. A number we cannot confirm stays off the page, and the page says so.

Corrections policy

If a number, a source or a sentence here is wrong, write to Physician's Choice with the address of the page and the line in question.

Fixes are made in place. The corrected answer gets a dated note at the end saying what changed.

Nothing on fiberprobiotic.com is medical advice, and no answer here diagnoses a condition.
